Jonathan Shiffer

Mr. Shiffer serves as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer, and Managing Partner, leading Journey Capital’s equity and multi asset class portfolio management division.   Prior to founding JCA in 2016, Mr. Shiffer was Head of Portfolio Management / Portfolio Manager with Curian Capital LLC, a third-party asset management platform with assets in excess of $21 billion.  As Head of Portfolio Management, Mr. Shiffer supervised the portfolio management, research, and trading staff; as Portfolio Manager, he was a member of the investment committee where he was responsible for security selection, portfolio construction, and monitoring of proprietary funds, strategies and fund-of-fund businesses.  Previously, Mr. Shiffer was Chief Investment Officer of a multi-billion dollar institutional investment management firm in Dallas, TX.  As CIO, his responsibilities included day-to-day management of the flagship strategy and leading the Investment Committee,  investment research, quantitative, and portfolio operations teams.  Mr. Shiffer holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas, with additional studies towards a PhD.  With almost 20 years of experience in managing for direct investment and asset allocation funds, he is an expert in capital management.
